 Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. Hooker!

    Announcements

We are counting down to the last day of school and ending our days with small celebrations. Today we celebrated the seniors by clapping for them and holding up signs as they walked the track. Students are also celebrating their growth as readers by reading to the class.

Wednesday, June 7th, is our all school picnic. Our class will eat together outside, enjoy sno-cones, and bring home cotton candy.

Please be on the lookout for supplies coming home starting on Wednesday evening.

This is our final kindergarten blog post. It has been an honor and pleasure to navigate this year with you and your children. Thank you for your family’s support, patience, and encouragement. Have a wonderful summer and please stay in touch as your child continues to grow!

Your child's week with Mrs. Hooker!

    Announcements

We practiced making inferences and drawing conclusions while reading The Gingerbread Man this week. We also compared and contrasted The Gingerbread Man and The Ninja-bread Man. Students shared library books they have enjoyed with the class. In math, we practiced many ways to make ten, compared backpacks with measurements, and made maps of our classroom.

Next Friday, May 21, I will be assessing for our third trimester report cards. Please avoid any unnecessary absences on that day. I love working individually with students to see and celebrate all they have accomplished!

All library books are due back to the school library by Friday, May 28th.
