                                       Announcements

     We are learning all about time and discussing our pasts with our timeline homework. If you haven’t had the opportunity to complete the timeline with your student, please do that within the next week. The students will be sharing them with the class to celebrate the milestones in their lives. 

     Our class is also beginning to tell and write personal narratives. We are using our fingers to help us remember the parts of our stories; characters, what happened first, what happened next, what happened last, and a conclusion. 

Specials are an exciting part of our school days. In kindergarten, we enjoy Physical Education on Mondays, Art on Tuesdays, Music on Wednesdays, Media/Library on Thursdays, and Social Emotional Learning on Fridays.

 

We are so excited for a Fall celebration in our classroom on Friday, October 30th from 2:10-3:10! The students have been talking about Halloween and fun fall events since the beginning of October!  With that being said, if you are interested in helping organize this party virtually and/or preparing supplies, please fill out this https://forms.gle/y4BeXWDqcnYXQek86 . A few reminders for that day:

• Students are welcome to wear costumes all day.  Families should use good judgement regarding costumes knowing that students will be working in them throughout the school day (perhaps they leave the bulkier pieces of the costume at home).  

• Masks, as required daily in the school setting, will still be required for safety reasons. Students will not be able to wear a costume mask instead. As per usual, no gore, weapons or "weapon like" items should come to school.

• In lieu of a traditional Halloween parade, we will take pictures and share them on our closed PTO FB page and in our blogs.

We will snack in the afternoon each day. It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.
